Area Business hosting Fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey Victims

NORWICH, Ohio- An area business is lending a helping hand to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Highway 40 Karaoke Barn is hosting a fundraiser for those affected by Hurricane Harvey this Saturday at 5 pm till 11 pm. The entrance fee is five dollars and donations will also be taken to go to the American Red Cross. The event will feature lots of karaoke as well as a pot luck dinner.
“It is an evening of music, karaoke is what is done here, gospel, classic country, classic rock, a little miscellaneous this and that. We don’t do anything with any kind of vulgarity or profanity and there is no alcohol so it is completely family friendly. You can bring all members of the family out here and everybody is going to have a good time.” said Event Organizer, Jason Thompson.
Thompson said their decision to help comes from the duty of American citizens to help each other through tough times.
“Everybody always talks about making America great again but nobody ever wants to step up and actually do that. Nobody wants to put aside their petty differences of this and that, they always want to whine and cry and say all this other stuff. Nobody wants to just man up, woman up, it’s not about Ohio, it’s not about Texas, it’s not about Florida or any other state. We need to american citizen up and help our fellow countrymen down south.”
Highway 40 Karaoke Barn is located at 1450 West Union Road in Norwich.
