Eunice Ethyl Gee , 97 of  Zanesville died at 4:15 PM  Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Clay House.

She was born on September 10, 1919 in Noble County, Ohio the  daughter of Dewey and  Eunice Ethell Gibbs.

Ethyl was a member of First Christian Church and a WWII Army Veteran as a Lieutenant with the Army Nurses Corps. She was a Graduate of the Bethesda School of Nursing. She had been a registered Nurse for 42 years having worked at many hospitals all over the country and retiring from the Muskingum County Home. She was also a life member of VFW.

She  is survived by her son, James “Butch” K. (Linda) Gee II of Zanesville; a grandson, James K. (Kathy) Gee III of Waterville; two great grandsons, James K. Gee IV and Daniel John Gee; a sister, Rosemary Bay of Cumberland, several nieces & nephews including two special nieces, Francie (Don) Holdren and Bobby (Danny) Creeks both of Zanesville.   Ethyl was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, James Kenneth Gee; and a sister, Sunny Neff.

Friends may call 11 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, September 11 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will conclude at the Cumberland Cemetery, Cumberland OH.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Christian Church.
