St. James hosts annual Blue Mass to honor First Responders

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- On the eve of one of America’s greatest tragedies bells rang in downtown Zanesville.

St. James Episcopal Church hosted their annual Blue Mass to honor not only those who gave their lives on September 11th 2001, but all first responders continuing to risk their lives at home and abroad.

The mass included hymns, prayers, communion as well as a reading of the local heroes who have fallen ion the line of duty.

A reception was held after the mass where refreshments were donated by Olive Garden.
