Muskingum County thanks Bo Keck for 48 years of Community Service

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Muskingum County thanked an official for nearly 50 years of service to the community.
Bo Keck retired as EMA Director after 9 years on Thursday, October 5th but his career of serving the community goes back to 1969 when he began working as an EMT for Zanesville Ambulance.
“We had the Keck Funeral Home in Zanesville back in the 40s and 50s my grandfather did and then my father worked for a couple of local funeral directors so we were involved in the emergency services and funeral director business back then and then in 69 Zanesville Ambulance came to town and then my father went to work for them and I went to work for them also when I was in high school.” said Keck
Keck’s career continued by working for the Sheriffs Office and County Commissioners as well as serving as a volunteer firefighter before ending as the Muskingum County EMA Director.
“It really brings everything that I’ve done together police fire ems I mean that’s what we do with emergency management we work with all those agencies and so it just kind of brought it all together and now its time to walk away from it and say that I have had a good positive full life in the emergency services. ”
Keck thanked everyone he has worked with over the years and is now looking forward to relaxing and spending time with his grandkids.
