ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week just wants to be a lap dog.

Meet Kilo! He’s a two-year-old terrier mix who’s neutered and ready for his forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer with the K-9 Adoption Center, says staff at the Adoption Center have deemed Kilo a spunky, low riding, love bug.

“As you can tell, he’s enjoying just sitting here, he’d be great for someone that wants to have a dog that wants to sit beside you, maybe ride in the car.” McQuaid said. “Lay on your lap, you know, just a very good companion, and affectionate. Does well with a harness, you wouldn’t want to use a collar, he has the coughing sensation when he gets to pulling and so forth.”

McQuaid says that Kilo does well with other pups but they strongly suggest a meet and greet if you have other dogs in the home.

He also wanted to let the community know about the Adoption Center’s annual Trunk or Treat happening in October!

“Also we’re getting ready and excited again, it’s fall, October 12th, will be our trunk or treat.” McQuaid said. “If you’re a business and you want to participate, get a hold of a staff member, we’d love to have you. It seems like every year when we do this we have a great turn out and bring your dog because that’s what it’s all about, they’re the ones coming for the treats.”

Stay tuned to the K-9 Adoption Center’s Facebook page for more details about their Trunk or Treat event!!
