13th annual farm show in Dresden

DRESDEN, Ohio- The Moore family is continuing their yearly tradition of teaching families how farming used to be accomplished.
The 13th Annual Country Crossroads of Yesterday will be Saturday, October 21st 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday, October 22nd from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Event Coordinator Kendra Hindel said there will be plenty of activities for families to participate in. She said it’s an event put on for families by a family.
“My father started it years ago, and it’s just been a passion of his. He, unfortunately, passed away four years ago. The Moore family is just trying to carry it on. Our mission is to preserve the old farm machinery,” said Hindel.
Children will be able to combine learning and fun. They will learn about how picking corn used to be done years ago. They will also have plenty of hands-on activities such as spraying a firehouse and using a digger.
“We’ve got a play area for the kids, a hay maze, a hay slide. They’ve got a little digger they can work in the dirt themselves. There’s an adult with them but they do get to get on an actual machine and play in the dirt like all the big construction equipment will be doing,” said Hindel.
The Country Crossroads of Yesterday will be by State Route 16 and 60 in Dresden. For more information contact the Moore family by calling (740) 754-6248.
