Meadowbrook Celebrates New K-12 Campus

BYESVILLE, OH – Rolling Hills Local School District celebrated a new chapter on Wednesday, September 9th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Meadowbrook school building.

The Meadowbrook choir and band performed inside the renovated auditorium before district leaders officially cut the ribbon. Following the ceremony, the public was invited to tour the building during a community open house.

For the first time in Colt history, Meadowbrook’s campus houses students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The modern campus features updated technology, open learning spaces, and additional room for students to grow.

The district’s superintendent, Devvon Dettra, said the building will allow Meadowbrook to offer classes and opportunities that were not possible before.

“In terms of student success, it’s unbelievable. The open spaces, higher-end technology, and classes we couldn’t offer before. That’s really going to help us expand our career and college readiness classes well beyond what we would have otherwise.” Dettra said.

District leaders say the new campus will also allow the district to operate more efferently while expanding learning opportunities for current and future generations of Colts.
