Poker Run for Special Olympics

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville will be full of playing cards and traveling people this Saturday for the Poker Run.
The Widows Sons Y-City Travelers are hosting a Poker Run starting and finishing at The Barn. Organizer Mark McCabe said all vehicles are welcomed and it will cost $10.00 per person.
“100% of the money we collect will go to the special Olympics, here locally,” McCabe said. “That generates extra funds for them to take more kids to the state level and they’ll go up and spend weekends up there.”
The first vehicle will leave at 11:00 in the morning and arrive back to The Barn by 5:00 P.M. The Barn’s Owner Jim Watson said this is another great way to support the community.
“When [The Widows Sons Y-City Travelers} touched base I was all aboard and invited them to host the poker run,” Watson said. “Start and finish it here, it just sounds like a lot of fun. Again it’s for a really great cause, so hopefully people can come down and participate and give what they can.”
“We have been supporting the special Olympics for years and these kids are worth every ounce of time we put into it,” said McCabe.
The person with the best hand will win a $100 Visa Gift Card, while the second best hand will get a car or bike care kit.
