ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local teen was recognized for his accomplishments in the County and State Fairs.

The Muskingum County Commissioners invited Tom Mozena today, so they could recognize him for his exceptional work at the Muskingum County Fair and the Ohio State Fair. Mozena won first Overall State Poultry Skillathon and Outstanding Non-Market Exhibitor as well as many other awards.

“Well I want to get better with birds, so most of the time it shows,” Mozena said. “I can take a class or whatever. I want to be able to [attend] at big shows with several thousand birds win over the whole show. I’m trying to breed better birds each year.”
