Kathy Watson
Kathy Anne Watson, 60, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully Friday (September 11, 2026).
She was born in Mechanicsburg PA, to Joan Leslie Workman (Richard Kleemann) and James Felton Womble.
Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a contagious laugh, a heart of gold, and a special ability to never go anywhere without making a friend. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine love for others will be deeply missed.
Kathy had a lifelong love for animals and especially cherished her horses. She found great happiness in being around them and caring for them. She also had a passion for cooking and loved preparing meals for the people she cared about. For Kathy, cooking was more than preparing food – it was one of the ways she showed her love.
She loved to travel, make memories, and spend time on the beach. Whether she was surrounded by family, enjoying her animals, cooking for those she loved, or simply sharing a laugh with a new friend, Kathy had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna Vester; and her brother Billy, Womble.
Kathy is survived by her children: Kristy Kolecki (Rick Kolecki), Jesse Watson (Robin Watson), and Kelly Thomasson (Brian Thomasson); and her grandchildren: TJ Kolecki, Kayla Kolecki, Chelsey Watson, Brayden Jensen, Cayden Jensen, Brison Thomasson, Peyton Thomasson and Madisyn Thomasson. She is also survived by her siblings: Mike Womble and Tami Womble.
Kathy leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and kindness that will remain in the hearts of family and friends. Her love for her family, her animals, and the simple joys of life will be remembered always.
A heart of gold, a contagious laugh, and a friend to everyone she met. She will be loved and missed beyond words. Always late, never forgotten.
No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
