ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Two previously known art studios have joined together and re-branded themselves as ‘The Art Loft’.

Studio 202 joined forces with Sidetrack Arts and First Friday’s Art Walk will be the first time the community can walk through and enjoy the new gallery. First Friday’s Art Walk will feature a collaboration between ‘The Art Loft’ artists Sandy Booth, Linda Graham, Susan Nash, and Susan Stubbins.

“We have an exhibition of a collaborative piece that we all four worked on together and then we each did an individual piece for the show as well,” Nash said. “That’s our opening exhibition.”

Artist Linda Graham exclaimed the four women started the studio collaboration last July and are now ready for the community to see their hard work come together.

“It’s so exciting to be able to tell everybody that we’ve joined our talents and we’re excited for wherever this path leads us in all directions,” Graham said. “Our art will grow and our friendship will grow. It’s just a really exciting time.”

‘The Art Loft’ is in the old Studio 202 location at 26 North 3rd Street. Their doors will open for First Friday’s Art Walk at 5:00 P.M.

This partnership started when Studio 202 was contacted by Sidetrack Arts and according to Stubbins this partnership is happening at a good time for the artists.

“We’re all in a similar time of our lives too, so it just seemed like a good time for us to have more people in the studio and enjoy that space,” said Stubbins.

Booth wanted people to come in and experience the gallery as the artists have created it.

“When you walk in, it feels warm and embracing,” Booth said. “I think when we work there we feel that and it just comes out in our art. Even though it comes out through a different medium, but the feeling is still there.”

For anyone interested in checking out the new gallery please enter through the rear door. ‘The Art Loft’ is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. and by appointment.
