The highly anticipated ‘C-Day’

Zanesville, Ohio- November 4th was the highly anticipated “C Day” with the Zanesville Jaycees.
From 9:00 A.M until noon today, countless donations were contributed in honor of supporting the community.
C Day is where we gather non perishable food items, clothing and toys from the community. We pick it up from people’s houses and then we deliver it to the Salvation Army,” said board member, David Mortier.
Typically, the Jaycees have a drop off location for all the donations being made, but this year is a little different. As a new tradition, this year all that is required is for you to pack up your donations and contact a Jaycees board member. From there, one of them will be dispatched to your home.
“People call the radio station, tell us their address, the items and where their located at their house. Then we dispatch one of our trucks to go to their house and pick it up,” said Mortier.
All donations collected for C Day will be distributed to the Salvation Army.
