ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is a big event every summer where artists and artisans showcase and sell their artwork to the community.

After years of the Y-Bridge Arts Festival occurring the Artist Colony of Zanesville, Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, and Muskingum Valley Garden Society are bringing in the Holiday Artfest.

“The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is the largest ARTCOZ event of the year and many people had asked if we would do other events throughout the year in addition to that and the First Friday Art Walk,” Artfest Chairman AnneMarie Kovach said. “So this is the winter version of Y-Bridge Arts Festival.”

The Holiday Artfest will have live entertainment by Laura Schumann, Julie Keirle, and Mr. Joe. Other activities are including Bob Grayson holding an art lesson for children, Liz Darby selling art supplies, and various styles of art from 30 local artisans.

“So the kids can come, have a piece of pizza, go down stairs and do a project with Bob [Grayson],” Kovach said. “Then mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunts, and uncles, can wander through here. Listen to the music and enjoy talking to the different artists.”

The Holiday Artfest is Saturday November 18, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. in the evening at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center. Admission is free and following this year there are plans to make this an annual event.

The pottery in the video and picture were created by Maddy Fraioli, while the jewelry was created by AnneMarie Kovach.
