Last Minute Reminders for Voters Ahead of Tuesday’s Election

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Election day is Tuesday and the Muskingum County Board of Elections has some last minute reminders for voters.
Voting on election day will only take place at polling locations which can be found by visiting the Board of Elections website. Sample ballots can also be viewed on their website.
When voters arrive at the polls, they will be expected to show proper identification such as an unexpired Ohio Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or US Military or Veterans ID
If voters requested an absentee ballot, they must vote that ballot. Voters cannot go to the polls to vote. They should vote the ballot that was mailed to them and return it to the Board of Elections Office located at 627 Market Street in Zanesville no later than 7:30 p.m. election night.
Officials would also like to remind voters they can’t wear clothing, hats, buttons, or other items promoting or opposing political parties, candidates, or ballot issues inside polling locations.
Election officials may ask voters to cover or remove prohibited items, but eligible voters cannot be denied the opportunity to vote for refusing.
The polls will be open Tuesday from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.
We will bring you the election results throughout the evening on our website and radio stations as well as on WHIZ News at 11:00 p.m.
