ZANESVILLE, OH – November is bringing a new chapter of fun to the Muskingum County Library System!

The library offers free monthly reading challenges for everyone, including little bookworms, teens and adults! This November, the challenge celebrates Indigenous American Heritage Month, encouraging readers to discover Indigenous histories, cultures and stories.

“Right now, we’re encouraging people to celebrate the Indigenous cultures in our nation. We have a lot of local history here as well. I know there’s a lot of history buffs out there who might really enjoy this challenge and we just really encourage you to come to the library and explore some of the titles that we have.” MCLS Marketing and Community Relations Director, Sean Fennell said.

Readers can keep track of their progress online or through the free Beanstack mobile app. And there’s a little prize waiting at the end of the chapter! Those who complete the challenge will have a chance to win a free book.

“If you complete this challenge, you’ll be entered to win a free book. Not just to borrow, you actually get to keep it and not bring it back.” Fennell said. “Of course, with the free book, we will be able to theme that and make that age appropriate no matter who completes that challenge.” Fennell said.

To join the challenge, visit the MCLS website or download the free Beanstack app. You can also stop by any Muskingum County Library System location for help getting started!
