Day 1 of The American Kennel Club dog show

2017.12.30 Dog Agility Vo . 11

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Saturday the Fieldhouse in Zanesville was full of excited dog and dog owners as one highly anticipated dog show took place.

The American Kennel Club had over 200 dogs qualify and come out to showcase their hard work and talents.

“This is an A.K.C agility event so dogs of all breeds and sizes get a chance to run around the ring, jump, run, play and have a great day out with their owners,” said dog owner, Lisa Lombard.

Among the crowd, we caught up with Hachi, one beautiful long coated German Shepherd, who was selected to attend American Kennel invitationals this year in Florida.

“Well…we compete in agility. It’s something that he and I do, this is my first agility dog. He is so good, he has led me around this course many times and he made it to the A.K invitationals this year in Florida but he likes the agility a lot and he will really run for me,” said dog owner, Renee Moses.

As dog owners geared up for the event, many traveled from near and far. Dogs from a variety of breeds were showcased and extraordinarily talented.  If you missed today’s show, be sure to check out the second day of the event tomorrow at the Fieldhouse.
