Luther “Luke” D. Morrison, 1953 – 2017

Luther “Luke” D. Morrison, Jr., 64 of Frazeysburg, died 3:45 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2017, at his home following a sudden illness. He was born Friday, November 20, 1953, in Columbus, the son of Luther D. Morrison, Sr. and Nancy (Scott) Morrison. He married Lavonne (Neal) Morrison on Friday, April 2, 1976.

Luke retired following many years of service from Dayton Precession. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who loved the time he spent with this family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, college basketball and looking forward to March Madness each year.

Luke is survived by his wife of the home; one son: Scott Morrison of Coshocton; one step-son: Don Kanavel of Frazeysburg; two grandchildren: Hunter Morrison Skylar Morrison; three step-grandchildren: Michael (Britnee) Kanavel, Brett (Lynn) Kanavel & Brittany (Michael) Foughty; five siblings: Janie (Fred) Moore of Newark, Paul (Gloria) Morrison of Newark, Larry (Lori) Morrison of Marysville, Joe (Cindy) Morrison of Buckeye Lake and Tom (Ruthie) Morrison of Newark and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Luke was preceded in death by his step-son: Dale Kanavel
