Nichols Pleads Not Guilty to Police Assault Charge
A Zanesville man accused of the assault a Zanesville Police Officer appeared in court on Wednesday. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 45-year-old Brian Nichols entered a plea of not guilty to one count of Felonious Assault on a Peace Officer with a repeat violent offender specification. Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle continued Nichols’ bond at $200,000 cash. Police say the incident happened December 30th at Just One More bar on Linden Avenel when officers were responding a reported fight.
