Lake Ridge uses big third quarter to down West M girls

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The West Muskingum girls fell to Lake Ridge on Sunday afternoon 61-31 as part of the Route 40 Classic. The tournament hosts are now just 1-13 on the season.

The Tornadoes trailed 27-17 just prior to halftime, before a late three-pointer extended the Lady Lions lead to 30-17 at the break. Lake Ridge proceed to outscore the Tornadoes 19-5 in the third quarter to pull away for the victory.

Michaela Harrison lead all scorers with 21 points for Lake Ridge. Teammate Sydney Mayberry chipped in 18 as well.

Maddie Curtis and Hayley Barker each scored 5 points to lead West M. The Tornadoes hit the floor again on the 24th when they host Tri-Valley.
