ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Every Monday throughout the basketball season WHIZ-TV will give out a basketball player of the week honor to one area athlete, and you can vote for who you want to win!

The four candidates are listed below. To vote, visit the WHIZ Sports twitter page and click what player you think should win.

Carson Miller (Crooksville) – In an overtime win over Morgan, Miller scored 18 points, pulled in eight rebounds, and set a school record with 13 assists. She’s leading the MVL in scoring averaging 21 points per game.
Kendyl Mick (Sheridan) – Mick scored 20 points in a win over first place Maysville on Monday to move the Lady Generals within half a game of first place in the league.
Trey Singleton (Meadowbrook) – Scored a game high 33 points in an overtime win over New Philadelphia. His Colts are now 9-2 in the ECOL and in second place.
Seth Russell (New Lexington) – The Panther big man scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a game with rival Sheridan. He’s one of only two players in the MVL who is in the top ten in scoring and rebounding per game.
