Muskingum gives up 17-point halftime lead, falls to Ohio Northern

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – It was a tale of two halves Saturday at the Ann. C Steele Center.

The Muskingum men’s basketball team (8-13, 6-8 OAC) had a 17 point halftime lead over Ohio Northern, but the Polar Bears outscored Muskingum 52-22 in the final 20 minutes to get the victory.

Ohio Northern used a tall lineup to dominate Muskingum on the boards. ONU had 13 offensive rebounds and overall out rebounded the Black and Magenta 53-32.

Marcus Demspey, again shined for the Muskies, scoring a game high 34. He was the only Muskie player to reach double figures.

Muskingum has just four regular season games left before the OAC tournament starts. They are at Mount Union on Wednesday.
