Sheriff Barker: New Lexington Man Charged in Drug Bust

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says a man arrested Friday during a drug bust has been formally charged.

The Sheriff said 39-year-old Robert Walker III is facing Aggravated Trafficking in Methamphetamine with a juvenile specification.

Sheriff Barker said last week investigators searched a home at 7304 State Route 345 in New Lexington and discovered drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Walker appeared in Perry County Municipal Court Tuesday and was issued a $75,000 cash bond.

He remains in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and will appear for a preliminary hearing this week.
