Drug bust in Perry County results in three arrests

NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio–Authorities in Perry County announced Friday that three people have been arrested following a search of a home in New Lexington.
Perry County Sheriff William Barker said around 11:15 a.m. Friday agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority executed a search of a home located at 200 West Water Street, Apt. D in New Lexington.
During the search, agents located bulk quantities of heroin and methamphetamine along with drug packaging equipment and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Barker said a 39-year-old male was arrested on felony drug charges and was booked into the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail. Two females were also arrested.
The names of those arrested are not being released until formal charges are filed.
