Chief Ervin: Perry County School Threat Not Credible

The New Lexington Police Department says it is investigating a possible incident that is supposed to happen in schools in Perry County. Chief Scott Ervin says they always investigate these types of complaints thoroughly. Ervin says he has reached out to his law enforcement partners and the local school administration. He says steps have been taken to maintain a safe environment for students and staff. Chief Ervin says as of this time we have found none of this information to be credible. As always we ask the community to report any suspicious activity immediately.
