Grillin’ Dave-Style for sale
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local barbecue restaurant and catering service is for sale.
Grillin’ Dave-Style Cookin’ and Catering originally started as a hobby barbecuing for a couple of parties, which grew into a concession trailer, and finally expanded into the building on Linden Avenue. Owner, Dave Dailey clarified he’s not just selling the property, but everything that makes Grillin’ Dave-Style what it is.
“We’re selling the business, we’re selling the registered trademark, we’re selling the recipes, we’re selling contracts that’s already been sold, and all the equipment that’s gone with it,” Dailey said. “It’s much more than what you can see.”
Dailey shares that the business hasn’t slowed and continues to keep growing.
“There’s more than just when you drive up Linden [Avenue] and see the block building,” Dailey said. “We cater, we’ve done weddings of almost 600 people, we go to five county fairs and could do many more. I just want to let someone take this that has the man power, maybe some youth that I don’t have, and take this to the next level.”
Daily also admits the growth of the business is not entirely because of him or his staff.
“The growth isn’t what I’ve done, the growth is what this community has supported us,” Dailey expressed. “It just overwhelms me on how supportive they’ve been not just in Zanesville, the surrounding communities. “We travel quite a few counties away to cater and when we go to a county fair they show up here.”
With the business doing so well, it can be intimidating for a potential new owner. However, that shouldn’t be a problem for Daily is willing to assist in making this an easy transition.
“Every staff member that’s here definitely wants to stay and I am very negotiable on working with the new owners, because this is a little bit of an art,” Dailey said. “I definitely will stay with whoever will purchase this until they’re very comfortable with the recipes.”
The sale announcement has been up for about one week through Lepi & Associates Real Estate Services.
