Women of Achievement prepared for their ceremony

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The recipients for the 2018 Women of Achievement Awards have been announced and today the recipients got a chance to meet.
The women met at the Zanesville Country Club for lunch, so they could introduce themselves and learn whats to be expected at the award ceremony. The Muskingum Community Youth Foundation Bright Futures Award recipient Madeline Wilson was the youngest to attend.
14 “It’s interesting to see how everyone is at a different level of their life and how even then they have different achievements. Just talking about all the different experiences is very helpful.
The Muskingum Community Youth Foundation Bright Futures Award is annually presented to a young woman through the Muskingum Community Youth Foundation. Wilson is a resent graduate of Philo High School and now attends Zane State full-time.
“I was very surprised, I got a call one day a few weeks ago.” Wilson expressed. “I didn’t even know I was nominated for it, all my nominators decided to keep it a secret from me.”
Wilson is thankful for being nominated.
Past recipient and emcee Emily Strang Tarbert joined the ladies to congratulate them on their awards and inform them on what’s to be expected.
“Well moving forward there will be a lot of different celebratory events that are coming up,” Tarbert said. “This is our thirtieth annual Women of Achievement banquets, so it is a very special time and a special year for these award recipients. Today they will learn basically the process for the banquette and also we’ll give them some tips on how to address the audience that will be there on that night.”
Tickets for the Women of Achievement ceremony are on sale until April 2 or until they’re sold out. The ceremony will take place on WednesdayApril 11th at the Ohio University Zanesville, Zane State College Campus Center with doors opening at 5:30 P.M.
