Hartmeyer Facing 8 Felony Child Porn Charges

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox said a former Sheriff’s Deputy is facing 8 felony charges in connection with child pornography found in his home.

61-year-old Tim Hartmeyer, who is the president of the Police Athletic League in Zanesville, is charged with two counts of 4th degree pandering obscenity, two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, which are of the second degree and four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance of the 5th degree.

Sheriff Matt Lutz said an investigation started Friday March 16th after his office received a complaint in reference to child pornography.

Lutz said a search warrant was obtained and Hartmeyer’s home at 2800 Stanway Drive was searched.

Prosecutor Haddox said as this investigation develops he expects more charges to be filed against Hartmeyer.
