Faces of Adoption: Umar, De’Andre and Tony

This month’s faces’ of adoption is triple the fun.

Meet 13-year-old Umar, 10-year-old De’Andre and 6-year-old Tony. Three brothers whose personalities are as different as their favorite football teams. Umar loves the Cleveland Browns while the others…

"My favorite team is the Steelers," said De’Andre.

Tony added, "The Steelers!"

So the boys can’t agree on their favorite sports team, but they do agree that playing sports together is one of their favorite things.

"The best about having brothers is that they irritate you a lot," explained Umar. "But, you do have some fun times with them."

"We get to joke around and have fund and that’s it," said De’Andre.

Umar and Tony also love music.

"See me I’m Michael Jackson fan. I’ve been a Michael Jackson fan all my life because I like music," said Umar.

"Tony is a ham. He loves to sing, loves to dance and loves to be in the middle of everything," said Social Worker Kelly Jamieson.

De’Andre is the scholar in the group and boasts A’s in math. All three would love to have a dog, but good luck trying to get them to agree on what kind. And Tony says he has a whole bunch of food he loves to eat.

"Chicken. Hot Chicken. Chicken wings. Macaroni and cheese and cow. I like to eat cow.

One thing is certain whatever family takes on this team is going to get a lot in return.

"They’re great kids and whoever’s able to adopt them will be a very lucky family," said Jamieson.
