Zanesville’s Brandon signs to compete at Walsh

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Ardale Brandon of Zanesville signed his letter Thursday afternoon to compete on the track and field team at Walsh University.

Brandon will compete in shot put and discus for the Cavaliers. He said that Walsh was the perfect fit for him.

“They make you work for everything that you want. And I want to be the best. I want to be an Olympian. So that’s where I have to be,” said Brandon.

Dozens of team mates and friends got a chance to see the Blue Devil senior sign his letter. And as his time at Zanesville High School comes to an end, Brandon said it’s hard not to reflect back on his four years there.

“[Zanesville] treats you like family and that’s what maters to me,” said Brandon.
