ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Dutro Ford and The United Way of Perry, Morgan and Muskingum Counties have partnered for the fourth annual “Drive 4 Ur Community,” fundraiser.

Members of the community came out to test drive both new and gently used vehicles for a small fee that will help benefit a great cause.

“It’s the fourth annual drive for your community and it truly is a community event. This is a wonderful partnership with Dutro and the Ford motor company where we recruit volunteers to test drive beautiful cars and of course Dutro provides the cars and we get twenty dollars for each test drive that will go right back into achieving our goals for the community in the areas of income, education and health,” said Meg Deedrick, United Way Executive Director.

Dutro General Sales Manager Mark Falls says their goal is to max out at three hundred drivers for the day. Hitting that goal will generate six thousand dollars for the United Way.

“We want to max this thing out at three hundred test drives. If we get three hundred test drives the United Way is going to get six thousand dollars. So that’s a huge number and it’s going to stay right here in our community. We’re proud to be able to have the facility to do it. As you guys know we’ve done a lot of stuff for the community and we want to be part of the community so this is just another way of sharing and giving back to the community from Dutro,” said Mark Falls.

Mayor Tilton, along with The Boy Scouts of America and countless volunteers came out in support of Dutro and the United Way. The event ran from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Dutro Ford.
