Eva L. Lindsey, 1929-2018

Eva Lee Lindsey, 88 of Zanesville, died 4:55 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Sunday, August 25, 1929, in Paintsville, KY, the daughter of Roy Holbrook and Sella (Hamilton) Holbrook and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

 

Eva graduated from Oil Springs High School and the Mayo State Vocational School in Kentucky, with a degree in Cosmetology. Eva worked as a beautician for over 62 years and was owner and operator of the Beauty Nook in Zanesville for over 38 years. She loved her family, her friends, the sun, the flowers and The Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team.

 

Eva is survived by her son: Marion H Brown; two grandchildren: Lindsay R. Brown and Ethan Bash and two great granddaughters: Khloe and Josie “JoJo” Bey and one sister: Janet “Sue” Vanhoose.

 

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Marion H. Brown, Sr.; her 2nd husband: Walter “Joe” Lindsey and one sister: Kathleen Blanton.

 

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Genesis Hospice and Northside Oxygen & Medical Equipment for the care and assistance given to the family through this difficult time.

 

In accordance with Eva’s wishes no services will be held and a cremation will take place.
