Time spent with family on this Mother’s Day

Mom Day

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Plenty of mothers and their children spent the holiday together. One family from Ohio and West Virginia travel to Zanesville to spend time together.

“I got my oldest son, his wife and two daughters, mother-in-law, and they came up from West Virginia to be with us. My son lives in Columbus. We live down by Marrietta, but we all converged here because it’s halfway for everybody,” said Diane Benton.

Benton said she loves getting to spend the day with her children as well as her extended family. She said the weather was just perfect for the holiday.

“It’s the beginning of my summer, is what I call it. All the kids get to come and they come to the house, and visit more often. Mother’s day is the start of a good season,” said Benton.

Benton said what she enjoyed the most about this Mother’s Day is getting to see so many people in her family.
