Charles “Harry” Dane Harris 1937-2018

Charles “Harry” Dane Harris, 81 of Zanesville, died 8:50 AM, Monday, May 14, 2018, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. He was born Monday, April 19, 1937, in Waterford, Ohio, the son of Leroy Harris and Eloise (Forrest) Harris and was a member of South Side Baptist Church.
Charlie proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired Burnham Boiler following many years of service. You could find him daily at the Maysville McDonalds enjoying breakfast and visiting with his friends.
Charlie is survived by two daughters: Joann Morgan and, Kathy Bradshaw of Zanesville;
one son: Rick Waller; two sisters: June Kendall of Zanesville and Helen (Ray) Kissik of McConnelsville; a special granddaughter: Sherri Morgan & grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife: Nellie (Mcwhoter) Harris who died July 13, 2016, one son: Bob Waller; five siblings: Ernest “Gene”, Kenneth, Robert, Raymond & Billy Harris and one brother-in-law: Lester Kendall.
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Mausoleum in Zanesville Memorial Park, 1475 Military Road, Zanesville, where the family will officiate. Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps, VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
