Sherry L. Nocera, 1945-2018

Sherry L. Nocera, 72, of Zanesville, died 2:35 AM, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Department. She was born Friday, June 1, 1945, in Zanesville, the daughter of James Wilson and Freda (Lovejoy) Wilson Earl. She married Joseph L. Nocera on Saturday, July 7, 1973, and was a member of the North Terrace Church of Christ where she was very active. She worked for many years at the Genesis Children’s Center and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by one son: Joseph (Laura) Nocera of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren: Molly and Nicholas Nocera of Chicago; one sister: Connie (Charles) McFarland of Newark; two brothers: James (Gwen) Wilson, Jr. of Zanesville, and Dean Frank Earl of McConnellsville; Stepfather: Frank Earl of Newark; sister-in law: Rose Ann Nocera Bartoli of Zanesville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend: Sandy Klinehoffer of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Sue Wilson.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, and Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville.
