Martha Eileen Tanner, 78, of Zanesville, passed away Sun. July 15, 2018 at her home. She was born on Oct. 4, 1939 in Chandlersville, a daughter of the late Erhardt and Bula (Lyons) Eck. She was a member of Finley United Methodist Church where she was very active in the United Methodist Women’s group. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau.  She graduated from Meredith Business College and upon graduation worked in the office of Attorney Vashti Funk. She also worked at Muskingum Livestock Sales, and was employed for 32 years at the Muskingum County Recorder’s Office. She is survived by her husband J. Kinsey Tanner. Two sons Eric (Connie) Tanner and Doug (Kelly) Tanner. Two grandchildren Anna and Brian Tanner. Two sisters Florence (Charles) Klein and Beverly Eck. Two sister-in-laws Yvonne Eck and Anna Eck. One brother-in-law Junior Schell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers James Lawrence Eck and Richard Eck, two sisters Evelyn Mock and Marjorie Schell. Two brother-in-laws Eugene Mock and Jerry Kramer.
