Seventh Day Slumber Small Town Worship is coming to Zanesville

Concert

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local church is having a rock worship concert this weekend.

Rolling Plains United Methodist Church will be bringing in Seventh Day Slumber Small Town Worship on Sunday, September 16th and the whole community is invited. Youth Coordinator, Joshua Rivera, said it’s a way to get the community involved and let them know that they care about them.

“They’re a great band and they just really have a heart for communities – for rich communities, for poor communities, they’re a very united band,” said Rivera. “They also have a very strong message about addiction and just overcoming obstacles within your family and within your own personal lives.”

Rivera said he hopes people will join them and have a good time at a rock concert within the walls of a church.

“That God loves them, you know, and he wants the best for them and two, I want them to have a good time and be able to understand that they can have a good time within the walls of a church building,” explained Rivera.

The concert starts at 6:30 on Sunday night. It is $2 at the door and Rivera said the proceeds will be donated to a non-profit.
