Lowe’s Community Safety Day is coming up

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The community will have the chance to explore fire trucks and ambulance vehicles this month.
Lowe’s in Zanesville is holding their second annual community safety day on Saturday, September 29th. Police cars and an area evac will also be on display for kids to experience up close. Employee, Jennifer Felt, said their goal behind this event is to honor our local first responders.
“We did it last year and it wasn’t as big as it’s going to be this year, so we just want to kind of honor everybody that works around Zanesville as far as our safety providers,” said Felt.
Felt said they will also have fingerprinting, face painting and live music and food for the community to enjoy. She said this is a good way to meet our law enforcement.
“Just to get to know them, you know, they are human just in case you ever get in a situation where you do need somebody that they’re there to help,” explained Felt.
The safety day is free, so Felt encourages everyone to spend their Saturday with them. It starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m.
