ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Eastside Community Ministry put on their 3rd annual “A Day at Eastside” production.

The show went on Friday, September 14th through Sunday, September 16th and they decided to include more of the youth program. Executive Director, Jamie Trout said the turnout was pretty good.

“A day at Eastside can be different each day. So that’s why we like to do this so we can get people looking into everything that we do. Most people know us for the food pantry or the clothing bank or the youth program but we do much more than that so this gives you a little glance at all the programs that we do,” Trout said.

She wants people to come by Eastside for a tour to see and get a feel for what they do on a day to day basis. Trout said the children were nervous about the show but had a lot of energy and were excited.

“This year we incorporated the children a lot more. They’re working on an actual 4-H project so they’ll be done with their 4-H project before 4-H time next year and so they’re sharing their testimonials,” Trout said. “They’re talking about how Eastside helped them and a lot of it pulls at your heartstrings and we’re very proud of the kids for stepping up and having the courage to do the show.”

If you missed the production this weekend, they plan to continue it on every year. You can go to the Eastside Community Ministry Facebook or website to find more information.
