ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Y-City Barbershop Chorus put on a show Sunday, September 30th at Secrest Auditorium for the community of Zanesville.

The show “Are We There Yet?” was something they have been working on since January. There were a few other groups such as, the Maysville Panther Tones and a special guess called The Love Quartet, involved as well.

Brian Morgan, President of the Y-City Barbershop Chorus said, “We sing throughout the community for different functions throughout the year. Singing at churches, we’ll be singing at the Veterans Hall of Fame program, we’ll be signing at a retirement communities.”

They also do a demonstration for the area high schools and have inspired some students to go to harmony camp in the summer. The youngest member of the Y-City Barbershop Chorus is 14 years old and the oldest is 94.

“Oh yeah it’s great. It’s absolutely wonderful,” Morgan said. “Hopefully we’ll have between 6 to 8 hundred people here today so we won’t fill the auditorium, we’d love to but yeah it’s really great to see folks come out and support the organization and what we do.”

If interested they do meet at the United Methodist Church every Monday night at 7:30. Morgan said they all have a lot of fun together.
