Zanesville Fire Stations hosting open house

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Fire Department is inviting the community out to all three of their stations.

They are hosting open houses at each of the fire stations October 9th through the 11th. There will be a cookout from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Eppley Station.

“Stop by, meet your firemen. I mean it’s your neighborhood fire department and we just we want to open our doors,” Hobson said. “We want to show you our equipment, we want to show you our stations. That’s the communities station.”

On Wednesday, October 10th the open house will be at the 714 Leonard Avenue Station and on Thursday, October 11th it will be at the Central Station on South Street. The hope is to get the community together.

“We want the community to know that we are a part of the community,” Hobson said. “We support the community as much as the community supports us.”

Saturday, October 6th is the kickoff to Fire Prevention Week. Hobson said there is a lot of events going on with fire prevention currently and they are going to continue working to keep the community safe.
