ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Despite the summer-like heat, November is right around the corner and that means so is election day.

Candidate for U.S. Congress Danny O’Connor stopped in Zanesville to knock on doors and remind people to head to the polls.

“We’re hoping to talk to some voters,” said O’Connor. “Obviously we want people to get out an vote, registration deadline is this week. People need to vote because their health care is on the ballot, their economic future is on the ballot.”

O’Connor also stopped by the Ohio Makes festival at Zane State College to talk to voters and get his message out. He said that if he is elected he would fight for jobs and health care.

“I want to fight for access to health care,” said O’Connor. “My mom is a breast cancer survivor so it’s personal to me. I know that so many people have pre-existing conditions or their loved ones have pre-existing conditions, and they should still have access to health care.”

O’Connor will be facing off against Congressman Troy Balderson during the November 6th election.
