ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you have been unable to volunteer this year at Christ’s Table, you can help them now by stopping by one of the many locations of their 2018 Canister Drive.

Volunteers will be at 10 different locations throughout Zanesville on October 12th and 13th collecting money. Keely Warden the Executive Director of Christ’s Table wants to thank all of the volunteers involved and the community.

“We want to remind the community, we only come to the community twice a year. We do it in the spring to get ready for the summer months and then after the kids wipe us out for summer, we have to go back to the community in the fall and ask to help us restock the shelves and get ready for the winter months,” Warden said. “So when you see that big yellow sign out there on Friday and on Saturday, dig deep, give generously and help out.”

Warden said no donation is too small and every little bit helps. They get excited all the way from pennies to 10 dollar bills being donated because they serve about 10,000 meals a month.

“It’s great to watch those that we serve, especially when we’re out at the stores and we see the people that we serve come up to the bucket and put their pennies in,” Warden said. “They appreciate what we do and they appreciate the community for pulling through and knowing that Christ’s Table will always be there.”

Events like this are so important to Christ’s Table and to the community. If you want to find more information about the drive and want to know the different locations, you can head to their Facebook page under the events section.
