New Lexington Fall Festival

Fall Fest

NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio – The temperatures felt closer to winter than fall but that didn’t stop the people of New Lexington from celebrating Autumn.

People were able to come to Main Street and enjoy food trucks, vendors, and Fall crafts during the Fall Festival. Public Service Director Chuck Hicks said this is the first year in quite a few years that they’ve had the event. He said they really just wanted to do something for the community.

“And decided that we wanted to do something for the community,” said Hicks. “And so on a short notice we decided to put our heads together and with the police chief and myself, and Parks and Rec Committee was able to throw it together in a couple months.”

Hicks said that despite the cold, people were enjoying the festival. Entertainer Mr. Pickles said he too was enjoying the day, seeing the community come together, and getting to perform for the kids.

“I mean that’s what really big about these things, people come out and get involved, and that’s what’s fun,” said Mr. Pickles. “I like to come out and make new friends, make new friends, and spread cheer.”

Mr. Pickles said he also does educational shows for elementary school children and that you can find him on Facebook under Mister Pickles Entertainment. The Fall Festival in New Lexington runs until midnight tonight.
