ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Big Brothers Big Sisters Buckeye Pep Rally is happening on Friday, November 16th.

The event has been going on for over 20 years and will be at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. There is going to be everything from a tailgate buffet to games, music and raffles.

Jenni Masterson, the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters said, “We are in need of auction donations so donations for our silent auction and our live auction. We also have a couple tables left and a few entry admissions so people really want to get those in soon.”

Masterson said they accept any kind of donation, they’ve gotten gift certificates, experiences in the person’s name, quilts mirrors, and anything buckeye themed. She mentioned there is even someone who is carving a Brutus figure out of wood.

“Well I know it’s a community event to come together and celebrate the Buckeyes but it’s also a great event to celebrate the littles that we serve. Every child in the area deserves a caring adult mentor and we are trying to put as many children as need in touch with a mentor as we can,” Masterson said.

All of the money is raised for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. You can find more information on their website or by calling (740) 453-7300.
