Two Vehicle Accident Kills One; Injuries Two

A two vehicle accident in Fairfield County is under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say just after 12:30 Wednesday morning 28-year-old Billy Maynard of Amanda was traveling east on Royalton Road in Amanda Township, when he was killed after a head on collision with a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Samantha Seeger of Ashville.

Maynard was taken to Fairfield Medical Center and Seeger was taken by Med Flight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with non life threatening injuries.

A passenger in Seeger’s car Monica Lewis of Lockbourne was also taken to Grant Medical Center with non life threatening injures.

Troopers say Maynard wasn’t wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
