Morgan County Prisoner Found

The search is over for a Morgan County Jail prisoner who escaped last week, 19-year-old Christopher Lee Clark was apprehended Wednesday in Athens County.

According to a press release, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department was informed that during an arrest sweep in Athens County Clark was taken into custody without incident.

Clark escaped from the jail October 15 when his cell door malfunctioned and he ran out a side door.

He is currently in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail awaiting arraignment on his escape charge. In Morgan County Clark faces one count of theft, the original charge he was jailed on.
