Victim Identified In New Straitsville Fatal Fire

One person is dead after a house fie in Perry County. It happened at 104 East Ewing Street in New Straitsville late this morning. The State Fire Marshall’s Office says 79-year-old Delbert E. Six died in the blaze. Investigators are currently waiting on an autopsy report. Public Information Officer Shane Cartmill says the incident was reported by a neighbor and that the fire was contained to a bedroom and living room and self-extinguished. Cartmill says evidence from the home will be brought to the Division of State Fire Marshall Forensic Laboratory for further analysis in an effort to determine the cause.
