Man Admits Sex Crimes

An 57-year-old East Fultonham man charged with 36 sex crimes pleaded guilty in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court today.

Bruce Stapleton Senior pled guilty to two counts of first-degree-felony rape, two counts of third-degree-felony gross sexual imposition and one count of fourth-degree-felony sexual imposition in front of Judge Kelly Cottrill.

Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Prosecutors have recommended he serve 12-years-to-life in prison. Stapleton remains in the Muskingum County Jail on a $1 million bond.
