Snow Doesn’t Stop Last-Minute Shoppers
It’s the weekend before Christmas, and snow couldn’t keep last-minute shoppers away.
"If I was by myself, yes, but we brought my husband with me, so no. As long as he’s driving, I know I’m fine, " says local shopper Amanda Gorrell.
Gorrell drove up from Morgan County with her family. She says shopping this late is a family tradition.
"We have two daughters, and we bring them together as a family. We split up in the mall. I’m with Lilly right now. He’s with Katelyn. We just shop, then we have dinner, and we go home, " says Gorrell.
Collin Checkelsky says he always waits until the very end of the holiday season to shop.
"It’s not really hard because you know you have to get something because time is running out, " says Checkelsky.
Other people had the same idea. The Colony Square Mall in Zanesville was packed yet again with shoppers, who had their hands full of packages, boxes, and bags.
