22nd Annual Hull Pottery Convention & Show
The Hull Pottery Convention and Show in Crooksville returns for the 22 year June 10 and 11.
It starts at 9:00 a.m. Friday at Crooksville High School and will continue through Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The association’s Vice President, Keith Knowles, said Hull Pottery pieces range from $3 a piece all the way to around $3,000 a piece.
"It’s for anybody and everybody," Knowles said. "There will be children under the age of ten who will come to this show and there will be people the age of 80 coming to this show. It appeals to a broad range of people. It’s just something that we’ve worked at to make it an affordable – an affordable hobby."
Knowles said the show will have thousands of pieces from collectors from around the country. Most of which will be for sale.
"We’re basically dedicated to Hull Pottery which was made in Crooksville," Knowles said. "Our show is almost all Hull and then we, we try to give back to the community."
At the show each year, the association gives two $1,000 a year scholarships to either Crooksville High School graduates or members of the Hull Pottery Association. Knowles said this is a way to possibly inspire recipients to study the fine arts or even ceramics.
